Fitness and living a healthy, balanced lifestyle is something that I am very passionate about! It has been that way my whole life and something that my parents instilled in us. We were always encouraged to be active and to move our bodies and we ALWAYS ate very balanced meals – in my opinion, the most important part of a healthy lifestyle.

I danced for 19 years of my life, well over the majority of my time on this earth! For the last 4 years, I have been an avid gym goer. Therefore I know a little somethin-somethin about activewear! In this post I am going to cover my favorite active wear brands and products that I believe are essential to have!

1. lululemon Leggings

Are you surprised?! lululemon gets a lot of hype, and guess what? THEY SHOULD! They are completely worth it! Yes, they come with a pretty hefty price tag, but that’s because they do all they things that you could possibly want leggings to do! Want leggings that suck you in, are squat proof, don’t slip down, don’t stretch out, don’t fade in the wash, and last for years and years and year?! WELLLLLLL, do yourself a favor and buy yourself some lulus!

My favorites in lululemons line up are the WonderUnder line and the Align line. WonderUnders hold you in like your life depends on it! They are wonderfully compressing and make you feel like a million bucks when your looking at yourself in the gym mirrors! They are also slightly thicker and more “dressed up” than the Aligns. The Aligns literally feel like you are wearing nothing. They are so buttery soft and comfy, it legit feels like you aren’t wearing pants. SCORE! They are also wonderfully stretchy, which is a major win for an pregnant mamas because they leggings will stretch with your growing bump!

2. Athleta Tops

I tend to choose Athleta over lulu when it comes to workout tops. Really, there are 2 reasons why this is. 1. Athleta seems to have more options when it comes to tops. This includes tanks, tees, long sleeves, and even outerwear. 2. And probably the biggest factor is the price. Athleta typically has a bigger sale section, but also does some bonus sales, whereas lululemon does not. Quality wise, I think the two brands are very comparable, but for more options and better deals, Athleta takes the cake in this category. My favorite tops from Athleta and the Limitless Tanks! Sooooo buttery and fit very well.

3. lululemon Sports Bras

I have to give it to lulu for this category too. Their sports bras are just next level good! Personally, I like a very compressing, hold you in, the girls aren’t going anywhere feel from a sports bra. lululemon definitely accomplishes this – without cutting into your skin and being super uncomfortable! And that is easier said than done! My three favorite sports bra lines from lulu are the Energy, Free To Be Wild, and my all time fave Free To Be Serene. Once you try a lululemon sports bra, no other bra will be able to compare!
